This Modena balsamic vinegar, aged at least 12 years, is very creamy and naturally sweet, perfect for seasoning meats, salads, cooked vegetables, or for tasty and tempting combinations: with strawberries or with a good Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

This handmade Modena traditional balsamic vinegar comes from the union among Modena ancient tradition and the passion of a peasant family, and doesn't need any introduction; however, not everyone knows this product in its real essence.

The vinegar Farm we've selected is based in a traditional farmhouse on the first hills of Modena (Emilia-Romagna), just modernized and upgraded to respect all the organic procedures of making and preserving real Modena balsamic vinegar.
Real Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, indeed, is aged for at least 12 years in precious wood barrels and cured with patience during this slow process, through which it enriches itself of all the fragrances and scents given by wood.
If naturally aged, balsamic vinegar neither needs thickeners nor food colourings, unlike many commercial products that result very different from handmade vinegar.
In the attic of our selected farm there are several sets of Modena Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, which contain some barrels more than 100 years old, but each year just a small amount of this product is bottled.
That's why the real Balsamic Vinegar is so valuable and sought after.
