Jar of light Porcini mushrooms ; they are more numerous and frequent than the dark porcini which are more rare and valuable. These mushrooms are cooked and then cured for a few days. They are inserted by hand into jars, then filled with olive oil and a bay leaf. The few natural ingredient used give this product a unique and unmistakable flavour.

Under the name 'Borgotaro mushroom' we have four species of porcini which grow in the Taro Valley and Gotra Vallei: Boletus Aereus, Boletus edulis, Boletus aestivalis and Boletus pinophilus.
The Borgotaro mushroom is recognized as a premium-quality product for its organoleptic, olfactory and aromatic features compared to mushrooms of the same species growing in Italy or abroad.
For this reason Borgotaro mushroom is the only one that has been awarded the European PGI, Protected Geographical Indication, since 1996.
The company Borgotaro Funghi & Funghi combines the respect for tradition, processing and preparing the product manual, selecting and controlling the mushrooms one by one, and the most modern equipment, thus ensuring a high quality product.
